Production: Photo-shoot
First i got all the props i wanted to use for the film and which would work for a horror. I brought specific props for this because i wanted it to relate it to my genre and my genre is horror.I then tried some low key light on the left side so it was dark, so you can't see the face too well, so it makes the person look ominous and adds an effect to the face, making them look ready to fight. I used high key lighting on the right side so it made the shadow on his face. I asked Tyreek to pull a sort of sad face so

Inspiration
This is one of my inspirations because Tyreek has a similar pose to that in front of a place where its empty.I have chosen this one as inspiration because i will make the poster in black and white.

Production Process
First i opened up a background i took in photoshop.
Then i opened up one of the images i took in the photography studio, it was labelled DSC_0010.JPG.

Then using the magnetic lasso tool. I then went around the image and deleted all of the parts i didn't need or want.
I then went round all the small bits so i could getrid or the background in it.

I then went to adjustments and made the image black and white so you don't get to know too much about the film. I then put Tyreek in black and white so it went with the image. I also made it black and white so the quality of the background and the photo of Tyreek would look similar, because the quality of the photo of Tyreek was good, whereas the the quality of the photo of the background was not as good.
For this i have made the black and white adjustment lighter so you you can see it better, then i went around the bat, like when i went round the person and i copied it and then it on top of the other bat and changed the colour so it stands out. I then moved a skull to the back so if you did see it, it would be creepy because you don't know what caused it and put a skull that lights up like its Halloween. I then added a shadow, to do this i used the eclipse tool, which makes a eclipse shape. Then i filled it with the paint bucket in black. After i double clicked on the layer it was on and gave it a drop shadow effect.
I merged the layers together and gave them a filter which was called rough pastels and then i did it to the picture of Tyreek, using the same effect so you couldn't tell the difference in the quality of the images and i did this to give it a static effect so it looks like the creatures are interfering. This made the shadow look less bold and look more natural because of the effect. I then installed the font called Vtks Demolition, instead of October crow, because it stood out more and was easier to read. Then i copied and pasted the blue skull and put it in the title, so it would have that unique horror edited title to it, like when they use eyes and other things for certain letters. Then i bumped the lettering up to 80pt, so it was big enough to see. Then i installed steeltongs, which was the credits block. Then i used put peoples names in it and copied it and pasted it over to my poster and put it at the top and made it smaller so its on there and so you can't read or see it very much. I made the title white so it would once again stand out because it's on a black background.
What I plan on doing is changing the shadow so it looks more human like, to do this i will put Tyreek in it and turn that into a silhouette and then stretch it like a shadow. Then i will make the credits block smaller. I will then try and distort the image of Tyreek more, so its like the background, since it's not showing up that well. I will also attempt to add more light to Tyreeks face, but it doesn't work that much when i do.
I also made a monster, from taking a photo of one of my friends and then I used the magnetic lasso tool and went around the person, then i used the rubber to make a monster shape, then i used the magnetic lasso tool again and made a long finger nail shape, then i used the skew option and stretched it and then i filled the whole image in with black. I then put it in the background of my poster, not the one above but another one and i stretched the body. It looked like this:
My target audience:
My target audience is 15-22 year olds. The appeal would be having a boy their age as their main character so then they can relate to them. The other appeal would be the genre, which is a horror, this is because people enjoy this genre because of someone you don't like is in it then you all hope for that character to get killed. The little details of having skulls and bones in there could be appealing because they would be like oh do you see that, making them interested and want to see more because people like see small details when they actually notice it.

Evaluation of processes
I did follow the recce, i made sure to be careful not to trip on anything in the photograph studio, so nothing fell over or ruined my shot because of this. This helped me produce effective materials for my poster because the lighting was in the right place, so was the camera and it didn't get broken because of the placing, so the photo shoot went well. I made sure to use fake blood on the bat and use a fake skull with blood on and made it so you couldn't see it too much so if little kids see it they wouldn't take much notice of it.
