Main character name: Harrison

Task 4

Creating a poster using a file given:

Task 5

Picking 10 fonts to possibly use for film poster. Pre-production: text designs.

1.) Curse of the zombies:\

2.) October Crow:

3.) Another Danger:

4.) Vtks Demolition

5.) Infected

6.) Monster Party

7.) Broken Glass

8.) Halowen

9.) Venom

10.) Wild Wood

The font I would use for my film poster is the 'October Crow' font, this is because it has a wispy look to it, making it suit what happens in the film and the black background and mist I wanted to add to it helps make it look spooky. It also looks like it would work for a horror film, it also comes under Halloween so it works with my genre. My target audience is 15+ so I think this font would be suitable for that. But i might try using Demolition because it stands out more.

Task 6

Colour schemes

Image result for film poster complementary colours

This movie poster for Blade Runner has complementary colours used on it.

Task 7

The first colour scheme would make a good sci-fi horror, this is because the green is associated with aliens so it would make a good glow effect with killer aliens or something related with aliens, that still makes it a horror. The black is useful for horror because it sets the dark atmosphere up. The yellow makes a good glow, like how in Alien the egg glows yellow and green and the grey makes a good shade for something to do with knifes. Also it goes with my target audience since it is 15-20 year olds, both boys and girls and because its like aliens it works, since alien is a horror sci-fi and it has a similar target audience.

The next colour scheme has browns and skin colours because it could make a good action cover. The orange and red make a good fire scene if it was in the colour scheme. The black makes a good background because it doesn't tell you much about the setting which could make it useful for a horror film. This once again relates to my target audience because the age is 15-20 and its for boy and girls and if you go by the stereotypical types of colours for boys and girls, these make the more gender neutral.

My last colour scheme i have picked black, grey and red. Black because it makes a good background for a horror and i want to use that, it makes the film sort of mysterious since there's no setting in the background. The grey makes a good mist colour, which i would also want to use, same for white but i couldn't put it on there and the grey is a good tone to use for a horror, same if you used a red glow. The red is good for being able to use the colour of blood, specially if you're doing a horror film like me. And once again it goes with my target audience which i think is suitable for a horror. And horror films aren't very colourful and because there are less colours on it i think it works well.

Task 8

Task 9

Choosing two existing posters and copying the same format and colours for one poster and using the for that.

This was the film poster i wanted to copy the layout and colours of.

Godzilla was the other film poster i used but i would be using images from godzilla to recreate the same/similar format and colour scheme as Alien.

This is what i made, trying to copy the style and colour scheme, trying to get the title style similar and specific colours, while keeping it normal

The part in his mouth is a light blue because Godzilla has plasma breathe so i though i should put that in his mouth instead of a red colour. The red under him is like the alien bit where there is a glow of an orangey red colour and it shines on her face and the red light could be from a helicopter or a red light coming from down below.
