Legal and Ethical Issues
Legal and ethical issues with the Star Wars poster
The legal issues with this poster is:
1.) If they didn't have a contract about using their faces and just posted it, then they didn't give them their consent to do it.2.) If they copied the poster exact;y or used the logo without permission, then it would classify as copyright becoming an issue.
The ethical issues with this poster:
1.) They have weapons therefore they might think it would inspire kids to become violent and think its cool and do it.
2.) There isn't much diversity.
3.) There also isn't much gender diversity either.
My poster is considerate of my target audience because it would have the age range on it and would have imagery that would be mainly suitable for that target audience, like having blood in it.
I would place my film poster inside the cinema high up near the other posters on the wall so then little kids won't see them and so when the adults look up at the poster they would see it. It would be in a place where kids wouldn't see but noticeable to adults.

Legal and Ethical Issues with my film poster
LEGAL
Issue
|
Solved or
justified?
|
Copyright
|
I won’t
be using any images that I haven’t took by myself or use another company’s
logo or say they were involved with it when they weren’t.
|
Publishing
someone’s face without their consent.
|
I will make
sure to ask them and sign legal documents, so then it says I can publish
their face being on my poster if I wanted to and it will be on a printed
document so then they can’t suddenly say they didn’t give their consent.
|
Misrepresentation
|
I will
make sure that the film poster is represented as a horror and something
different like a comedy.
|
Content
not breaking the law
|
Won’t be
showing anything like animals suffering or anything that might be breaking
the content law.
|
ETHICAL
Issue
|
Solved or justified?
|
Not
enough diversity
|
The only
reason there isn’t is because there is only one person in my film poster, so I
can add more diversity later.
|
Not
enough gender diversity
|
Once again
it’s because there is only one person in my poster, therefore I can always
add more gender diversity later.
|
Violence
|
I will
put an age rating on it so then younger audiences don’t watch it or see it,
since there was blood on the cricket bat on the poster.
|
Not much of
a wide age range
|
Again I will
put different aged characters in, since it’s only the poster and it only has
one person in it, I can’t really show it through that but I could if I made
more different posters.
